Job Description:
Review technical plans, reports and engineering calculations prepared by consulting engineers, Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories and Master Fire Suppression contractors as required by Fire Code section 105.4. Prepare oral and written presentations. Engage in studies or investigations related to proposed fire suppression systems to determine design feasibility and impacts on operational procedures during fire and non-fire related emergencies. Research emerging technologies, determine performance during fire scenarios and consult with management level staff to support policy-making decisions. Review technical calculations related to project submissions. Prepare written approval/disapproval letters for supervisors.
Requested skill set: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering. Excellent analytical skills. Excellent communication skills. Team Player. 0-3 years of work experience. Knowledge of NYC Construction Codes and Fire Code is a plus
