Are you a dynamic sales professional with a passion for transportation solutions? We are seeking a Carrier Sales Representative with a minimum of one to two years of experience to join our team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to leverage your existing carrier base and entrepreneurial spirit to build and expand your book of business. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing motor carriers and transportation companies.
  • Source and qualify potential carrier partners through various channels (industry events, online databases, cold calling).
  • Understand carrier capabilities and equipment availability to match with customer shipping needs.
  • Negotiate competitive rates and contract terms with carriers, ensuring mutual benefit.
  • Secure exclusive contracts with top-performing carriers and manage carrier onboarding processes.
  • Monitor carrier performance, including on-time delivery, communication, and shipment handling.
  • Address carrier issues and concerns promptly to maintain positive relationships.
  • Participate in carrier development initiatives to strengthen partnerships.
  • Generate carrier capacity reports and analyze market trends to optimize carrier network.
  • Assist with sales team by providing insights into carrier availability and pricing.
  • May participate in industry events and trade shows to build carrier relationships.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in carrier sales, carrier relations, or a related field (experience in the transportation or logistics industry a plus).
  • Proven ability to build rapport and trust with transportation companies.
  • Strong understanding of the freight brokerage industry and carrier operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Skilled negotiator with a knack for finding win-win solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong data entry and record-keeping skills.
