Position Overview Our client, based in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced and licensed Customs Broker Manager to lead their growing customs operations team. The Licensed Customs Broker Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full A-to-Z customs brokerage process, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, and managing a team of five entry specialists and coordinators. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing both strategic leadership and operational execution. What’s On Offer Competitive salary of $90,000 Leadership role with room for growth Supportive team and collaborative environment Key Responsibilities Oversee and execute the complete customs clearance process from entry filing to final release Ensure full compliance with CBP regulations, PGA requirements, and internal SOPs Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5 customs professionals, ensuring high levels of accuracy and productivity Classify products, review commercial documents, and verify HTS codes Maintain and manage the company’s customs license, acting as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and minimize delays or penalties Collaborate closely with operations, sales, and clients to resolve clearance issues and provide expert guidance Stay up-to-date with evolving trade regulations, tariffs, and industry changes Qualifications Active U.S. Customs Broker License required Minimum 5 years of experience in customs brokerage within a freight forwarding or logistics environment Proven experience managing the full A-Z brokerage process independently Prior leadership or team management experience preferred Strong knowledge of HTS classification, PGA filing, ACE, and relevant software systems Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Benefits Medical insurance, Vision insurance, 401(k) Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Location Houston, TX #J-18808-Ljbffr People Freight | Freight Forwarding Recruitment
