Your Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Provide outpatient rehabilitation services in a patient's home or independent living facility.
  • Organize and conduct occupational therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation.
  • Direct patient participation in tasks to restore and enhance performance.
  • Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Adapt programs according to individual patient needs.
  • Consult with the rehabilitation team and make referrals as necessary.
  • Promote a safe environment and ensure high-quality patient service.
  • Design and apply adaptive devices, training patients in their use.
  • Instruct patients in skills required for functional activities and evaluate their progress.
  • Perform routine reexaminations to modify treatment plans as needed.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
  • Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • A valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in your state.
  • A valid driver's license or reliable transportation to and from patient residences.

Salary

Posted Salary Range: USD $59.00 /Hr.
