Responsibilities include managing minor illnesses, injuries, and procedures; stabilizing serious conditions; providing follow-up care; interpreting diagnostic tests; documenting encounters; and billing. The provider may serve as shift team leader and respond to hospital or disaster codes, ensuring compliance with federal regulations. Qualifications require licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, with at least two years of independent primary, urgent, or emergency care experience.
