Description

Joseph J Magnolia, Inc. is looking for EXPERIENCED Pipe Welder for our Laurel, MD location. A pipe welder joins and repairs pipes and builds piping assemblies to specified standards . Pipe welders use a variety of tools including some specialized equipment to do their job. They work both indoors and outdoors, depending on where they are needed, sometimes in cramped spaces and in adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Installation of Commercial Chilled/Hot Water Hydronic, Steam and Gas System Piping
• Effective Communication with Construction Team
• Review/Layout and install per Plans/Specs/Code/Safety and Quality Requirements
• Installation using weld pipe and fittings, also assisting with grooved pipe and fittings, copper pipe and fittings

Requirements

• Work Mon - Friday with some OT afternoons nights weekends
• OSHA 30 Certified
• 3 or more years commercial construction experience
• Able to communicate effectively and work with team members
• Welder Certification per ASME BPV Code Section IX
• Candidates to be tested with Certification a condition of employment
• Rigging Experience
• Able to read installation plans and spools Able to work in hard/severe environments (bending/sitting/standing/climbing/dust & fumes) for extended periods of time
