INFORMATION OFFICER II – SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER / COMMUNICATIONS UNIT / CALIFORNIA NATURAL RESOURCES AGENCY
This position is a 12-month Limited-Term position that may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.
The reporting location for this position is Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the Administrative Direction of the Deputy Secretary of Communications.
We are looking for a creative and dynamic professional who knows how to drive the levers of digital strategy and who feels comfortable putting new tools and strategies in motion.
Under the administrative direction of the Deputy Secretary of Communications, California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA), the Information Officer (IO) II will act as a Social Media Manager to create, lead, and drive social media and digital media creation for the Office of the Secretary, CNRA. The IO II will have the responsibility of conducting social media strategies and communications to increase public information associated with the Office of the Secretary, CNRA. As a member of CNRA’s Communications team, the incumbent will ensure CNRA priorities and progress are well understood by a range of audiences.

Minimum Qualifications
Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If it is determined a candidate does not meet the Minimum Qualifications, the candidate will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position. Candidates who have been withheld may file an appeal with the State Personnel Board.
