Splunk Engineer

Description:

The Splunk engineer is responsible for administering Splunk clusters, upgrading the tool when required, making API data calls, providing IAVA support, upgrading from CentOS7 to RHEL8, moving to AWS, pulling logs for servers, and creating dashboards and briefing material using Splunk data for COR-T.
The engineer will utilize Splunk in daily tasks for searching, monitoring, and analyzing machine-generated data. Splunk version 8.5 is currently running on MASH and used for metrics, diagnosing problems, and pulling data from repositories on servers from tools such as CASPORT, LATTEART, JIRA, and CONFLUENCE.
The infrastructure includes 3 search heads, 4 indexers, 1 master loader, 1 load balancer, and 2 forwarders.

Requirements:

SCI with Polygraph is REQUIRED. Please do not apply if you do not currently possess this level of clearance.
Scripting experience (Python, etc.), experience pulling data from tools via RestAPI, and 7-10 years of relevant experience are required.
Candidates with DevOps and Splunk multi-role skills will be considered.
Active TS clearance is also required.
