Tax Specialist

Location : Greenwich, CT

Job Type: Hybrid, 4 days

Salary : $175,000-250,000/year + Bonus

Client/Job Summary:

Our client is a prestigious hedge fund looking for a Tax Specialist to sit within their family office. This role offers exposure to a sophisticated family office environment with opportunity to work with hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, high-net-worth individuals and more.

The tax team is looking for a highly motivated tax accountant who will play a crucial role in supporting their team with all aspects of high net worth individual, partnership, private foundation, and S corporation tax compliance. The position also offers the opportunity to mentor junior team members and work on high-impact projects that span multiple business lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Directly supporting tax compliance for the family and their clients.
• Preparing and reviewing tax workpapers.
• Helping with audit preparation and audit response material.
• Respond to audit related inquiries from tax authorities and third-party vendors.
• Support with tax returns, reporting obligations, tax implications, tax provision reporting, sales and use tax, tax planning, etc.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Help with automation and process improvements.

Key Qualifications:

• 7+ YOE in tax at public accounting, hedge funds, or family offices with a focus on HNW individuals, funds, trusts, and partnerships.
• CPA highly preferred.
• A proactive mindset and commitment to excellence in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
