Proteus Security Agency is hiring UNARMED security officers in Charlotte, NC. We currently have an opening for a registered person who is:

• Available to work every Wednesday through Saturday 2100-0200 Hours (9pm-2am) - this is a Part Time position at a fixed 20 hours per week.
• General duties include observing guests of the venue for any rule violations, assisting venue staff, escorting guests out of the venue when needed, being a visible deterrent and aid
• $18/hour - Paid Weekly

Summary of Duties

• Answer and respond to calls needing security.
• Writing complex incident reports.
• Maintaining a high level of independence, initiative, and interaction with the public.
• Assist law enforcement or public safety (Fire or Medic) agencies when needed.
• Able to make sound decisions in stressful situations.
• Escort guest out of the venue upon request from management
• Patrol the venue, making sure guests stay in authorized areas only
• Solid understanding of situational awareness and de-escalation.
  

Additional information about the position:

• Responding to calls for service and emergency assistance
• Rendering aid to the physically injured
• Investigating safety hazards and taking action to correct potential problem areas
• Providing motorized, foot, and bicycle patrols of the venue
• Practicing problem-solving techniques in support of the agency's problem-solving strategies
  
• Participating in job-related training and courses to maintain skills, knowledge and abilities
• Acting without direct supervision and exercising independent discretion in meeting emergencies
• Removing trespassers from the property, physically and forcibly as needed.
  
• Customer service & Community Engagement
• Being an Ambassador of the agency to the community.

* $18/hour - Paid Weekly

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to utilize a pastoral approach to potentially hostile situations, with an emphasis on de-escalation and conflict resolution.
• Unarmed Security Registration with NCPPSB
• Active, valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Access to own vehicle (no public transportation / ride sharing)
• Ability to stand, walk, and/or run for periods of up to 8 hours

Uniform / Equipment Requirements

• Smartphone with the ability to download appropriate work-related applications to be used in the field.
• Navy Blue tactical style pants (black permitted for first 3 pay weeks).
• Plain Black in color boots, shoes, or sneakers that are work-appropriate
  
• Flashlight - All Officers (Venue does get extremely dark during events)
  

Highly sought after skills:

• First Responder certified (First Aid, CPR, AED trained) or willing to obtain
  
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass a drug screen
  

Growth Potential to patrol officer after 90 days in the position. This is utilizing an agency fleet pool vehicle to conduct site visits and assessments on client properties during your shift, working patrol zones, and answering both routine and emergency calls for service.
